In Memory

Heather Hooke (Trujillo)

TRUJILLO, Heather L. (Hooke) (Age 36) We are so proud of our girl. After a four year battle with cancer our beloved Heather fought the good fight and finished the course. No more tears, no more pain, those things are gone away. She was born June 27, 1973 in Spokane to Rick and Kathy Hooke. A wonderful daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She will leave a hole in our hearts forever. Survived by her husband Lincoln, daughter Ava, her parents, sister Jodi (John) Guin, Luke and Emma Guin, great Aunt Cha, in-laws Paul and Angie Trujillo, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Patti, Vonnie, Diane, and the Hospice House staff. An open house celebration of her life will be held at her parents home, Tuesday the 8th from 4:30 to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice House of Spokane.

As a nurse of oncology I was blessed with getting an opportunity to see Heather's incredible spirit and strength during her last days fighting her illness.  She loved her children, husband and all her friends and family a great deal and was sad that she was going to miss out on life.  A beautiful life ended way too early.

I was lucky to spend some of Heather's last happy moments with her. She returned to Spokane after being gone for several years out of high school. It was as if she never left. She was the very same Heather that she was in high school... beautiful, bright, a honest and true friend. I spent time with Heather, her husband Lincoln and her beautiful daughter Ava. What a strong foundation she had, including her parents and sister. She surrounded herself with love and support. I believe she got everything she could out of her short time here with us. I miss her deeply and love her so much. I cant wait to meet up with her again one day! I love you Hookster!!

I miss the Heather. She was very special. She was always so kind to me. We use to laugh our butts off in Ms. King's hottub.
